Velobet Crypto Sportsbook Review: Honest Evaluation of Trust Factors, Sports Betting Odds & Markets, Bonuses, Features & Player Benefits

Last updated:

22/11/2025

Established in 2023 and operated by Santeda International B.V., Velobet is a Curaçao-based platform that runs Upgaming’s sports wagering software. It offers a long list of pre-match events, most of which should be available for live betting. The site accepts nine cryptocurrencies, and its interface is available in nine languages.

Velobet has a good casino lobby with over six thousand games, and it is a hub that seems to be geared toward gaming fans more, as this platform’s loyalty scheme excludes bettors. It does run some sports promos and has a staple sportsbook welcome offer. What we must highlight about this brand is that it is a mandatory KYC one. If you choose to use it, you will have to confirm your identity to get your winnings here.

Let’s see how Velobet performs as a bookmaker with a review of its sports betting platform.

Are there any unique features making the Velobet sportsbook stand out?

This website recently added a bet builder feature. It has a nice collection of virtual sports leagues, offers betting on horse/dog races, features more pre-match and live events than many more famous online bookmakers, and even has many actual sports live streams.

A simple Velobet promo banner featuring only the brand's logo.

Table of contents

Is Velobet trusted, legit, and safe?

Yes. The company behind Velobet has proven itself as a legitimate operator, active for several years in the sphere, running multiple reasonably established platforms, all with valid licensing and chiefly positive ratings. The same applies to this one.

Is Velobet licensed by any recognized licensing bodies?

Santeda International B.V., the operator of this site, runs it via license OGL/2024/1798/1048 issued by the Curaçao Gaming Control Board.

What’s Velobet’s reputation with bettors and the wider gambling industry?

For the most part, the reviews for Velobet are great. The brand had a 3.9 grade on Trustpilot when we wrote this Velobet sportsbook review, and it had excellent ratings at watchdog sites. That said, one thing that raised our eyebrows was that on Trustpilot, 62% of the ratings were five-star ones, and 27% were one-star grades. Virtually all of the latter reviews were from gamblers who used this platform and did not get paid out properly, or at all.

The Velobet trustpilot page with the site rating for this brand on there.

What review ratings does Velobet typically get?

It primarily gets super high ratings from users, and above-average ones from reviews. We give it a GOSUBETTING rating of three and a half stars.

Are there any brand or sports personality partnerships that support legitimacy?

It appears that Velobet has never teamed up with any celebrity or athlete. We could not find any news of this, but we did see that Velobet has had partnership agreements with AffPapa, which is one of the more famous marketing platforms that connects affiliates with providers and online gambling brands. It holds its award show every year, where it honors sector players.

Are there any known blacklistings?

There seems to be no explicit Velobet blacklistings when we posted this Velobet review. We did spot that about two years ago, this hybrid casino and sportsbook did get blacklisted by a top watchdog, added to its list of terminated sites on account of licensing issues, which it has now solved. We assume that was a minor hiccup, as this brand is again listed on the same watchdog website and rated highly there.

Are there any known or reported scams or scandals?

We know of no legitimate scandals connected to Velobet. We did find an AI-written article up on FinanceScam.com that painted this brand in a bad light. That website claims they are not liable for the published content as it was submitted by a user, which we doubt. We think this is just generic AI-written nonsense posted for SEO purposes and clicks.

ScamAdviser.com gave this site a 100 out of 100 trust score.

Have there been any known data breaches?

We found no evidence or any confirmed public records that such incidents have occurred at Velobet.

Can players access login and transaction histories?

You can review your money/coin transfer records here, but there is no profile section that presents you with your session history. For that, you should email the Velobet staff asking them to provide you with those records if you think something suspicious is happening with your account.

Does the site handle player data privacy effectively?

The Velobet privacy policy covers many of the basic aspects of data protection in a general language we have gotten used to seeing at crypto casinos/sportsbooks. We can say more about that page, but we must say, it seems to us, this section of the Velobet website is probably a copy-and-paste job, as it talks about setting up and enabling 2FA, which we could not find as something offered in our profile options.

The section of the Velobet privacy policy page that discusses 2FA.

Is there any evidence of credible and recurring bettor complaints?

Despite the predominantly positive reviews Velobet has gotten, there are many unsatisfied customers, people who are complaining they have experienced withdrawal problems, being unable to pass the Velobet KYC process, and their accounts getting hit with various terms violations and fees. There were too many similar detailed complaints for us to just shun them as examples of unsatisfied/losing customers whining.

What security methods are in use?

There is no 2FA, no login records, and no really specific security measures discussed in the general conditions of this gambling site, which has a WE1 Google server certificate.

Has Velobet won any crypto gambling industry awards?

We know of none. We have not seen this brand pop on winner or nomination lists for award shows run by recognized organizations like EGR, SBC, SiGMA, AffPapa, and the like.

Is the longevity of Velobet a factor to consider before betting?

Velobet may have been around only since 2023, but it has gotten chiefly excellent reviews, is licensed, and gets operated by a company that manages other decently established brands. Consequently, the fact that it has only been around for a couple of years should not worry anyone.

What levels of community engagement are there at Velobet?

Both the official Velobet Discord server and Telegram channel have over five thousand members, while the Velobet X page had seventeen thousand followers. There is no on-site public chat, and the Velobet News site seems to be no more.

The Velobet Telegram channel, the official with its member count displayed.

Are the terms and conditions clear and fair?

Organization-wise, the terms are structured as how you would expect. Like most condition pages, the line spacing is too big on the T&C page, and the typeface size is too small. Visually, the walls of text look wonky. So, while the language may be clear, the presentation is bad. Moreover, there are a few rules we read on this page that we hated, deeming them unfair. We will explain them in the payment section of this Velobet review. Scroll down to read about them in the uncommon payment condition part if you do not feel like going through this entire Velobet analysis.

What levels of anonymity can a bettor at Velobet expect?

Allegedly, this site will not punish you for VPN use. The person we spoke to said Velobet has nothing against virtual private networks. Yet, they said KYC is mandatory here. Thus, secretive gambling is not possible at this site.

What are the account registration requirements?

To create an account at Velobet, you must provide a username, input your email, choose a password, select your country of residence and preferred currency, while also forking over your phone number, and agreeing to this site’s Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. You, too get presented with the option to accept and regularly get sent marketing offers.

What are the KYC requirements?

Velobet has strict AML/KYC procedures that align with EU Directive 2015/849. Hence, they engage in client verification, PEP screening, and transaction monitoring. The platform retains records for ten years and requires ID/residence proof for verification before you can get your winnings here. They promise to process your submitted documents within two days. So, there is no avoiding this if you want to play/bet here.

Which sports betting software solution does Velobet use?

The Velobet team did not want to divulge what betting solution they use. Thankfully, we identified it as Upgaming’s one, which other sites from this same operator implement. Per Upgaming’s official website, this software boasts close to one hundred pre-match events, more than five thousand markets overall, and over one hundred and forty sports types. It gets powered by data providers like Genius Sports and SportRadar.

Upgaming claims the most stand-out feature of this solution is its in-house team of a hundred and twenty bookmakers, who craft competitive odds in real time. It too has back-office systems that provide advanced analytics, customizable betting limits, and real-time reporting. On top of all this, it has 24/7 anti-fraud management teams.

The odds and data providers of Upgaming, the software provider for betting fun at Velobet.

What’s the choice of betting markets and odds like at Velobet?

It is actually pretty good. For CL qualified matches, we saw around two hundred and fifty choices; these were divided in the following categories – Fast Markets, 1st Half, 2nd Half, Total, Goals, Handicap, 1st Team, 2nd Team, Correct Score, Cards, Fouls, Shots on Target, Goal Kicks, Offsides, Other, Spec. Bets, and 10 Minute markets.

Based on what we saw, on average, you should see around one hundred and seventy betting options for games from top European football leagues. For NFL, NHL, MLB, and NBA contests, expect around fifty. We predict this number will go up, as props will get added once respective seasons start.

For UFC PPV main events, you get to bet on the winner, total rounds, winning method, and a few other options, but for regular card fights, only winner markets get presented. The same applies for boxing. As is pretty much always the case, tennis has a decent selection, complete with outrights for most ATP, WTP, and Challenger tournaments. Overall, Velobet lets you make outrights on virtually all attention-grabbing competitions for all sports.

Sports coverage

Regarding actual sports, you can bet on Soccer, Basketball, Tennis, Baseball, Ice Hockey, Handball, Formula 1, Volleyball, Futsal, Rugby, American Football, Boxing, MMA, Lacrosse, Table Tennis, Water Polo, Alpine Skiing, Speedway, Motorcycle Racing, Aussie Rules, Golf, Darts, Stock Car Racing, Cycling, Field Hockey, Cricket, Gaelic Hurling, Ski Jumping, Cross Country, Gaelic Football, Biathlon, and Olympic Games events here. Plus, you can make Specials wagers, meaning gambling on outcomes of political and entertainment events.

Velobet live betting options.

There is always a good selection of events up for in-play wagering at Velobet. We appreciate that most of these have a robust number of markets, and there is a tracker feature for many of them.

eSports

The site lets you wager on eSports competitions played on Valorant, League of Legends, Rocket League, Counter-Strike, StarCraft Brood War, and Dota 2.

A section of the eSports betting page of the Velobet sportsbook.

Virtual sports

You get various Virtual Football Leagues from GlobalBet. Tennis, basketball, baseball, and cricket virtual matches from SportsRadar, and simulated horse and dog racing from BetRadar powered by Kron at Velobet.

What are the betting limits at Velobet?

The staff here said this is up to the sportsbook provider, which they would not mention. Their general terms do list a max win limit of $200,000. If you win a prize above this amount, it will get forfeited, and you will get paid the $200,000 maximum.

Does Velobet offer good value odds?

Yes. We compared the odds here to those listed on BETBY-powered crypto sportsbooks like BC.GAME, and largely, they were nearly identical.

What odds formats are available here?

The settings panel listed three odds formats – American, fractional, and decimal. It also provided two view types, Asian and European.

Is there a bet cash-out feature?

Yes, on events Upgaming deems fit to have this feature. We think that for matches from top football leagues, this option should be available. The same should hold for MLB, NBA, and NFL contests.

Does Velobet offer live streaming for games?

At first, we thought this sportsbook only offered streams for eSports events. But after digging around all the provided in-play betting options, we found a feed for an Indian football game. Then, we saw one from the Russian Cup. A few hours later, we saw game feeds from matches from the African Nations Championship.

Thus, our initial impression that only lower-profile events may get featured here via live streams was wrong. We do not know the range of streams you can get here, but as the day went on, more and more games in the live betting panel got the play icon, which indicates that there are real-time video feeds for these events. We think, you should get a good stream of streams here. We based that impression on our past dealings with this platform as well.

Live Casino 330% up to $2,000

What sportsbook bonuses does Velobet provide?

Aside from the sports sign-up bonus here, Velobet bettors can enjoy different types of sports-related promos, but these usually come and go here. Accordingly, it is somewhat hard to pinpoint all the types that will frequently appear on this site. But if you plan on using it, expect to get free bets here. Those are staples that Velobet likes to feature.

Welcome Sign-Up Bonus

This platform has separate registration deals for its casino and sports betting customers. The welcome bonus gives new site users a 150% match up to €/$1,000 on their first deposit here. It requires a $10 qualifying deposit. There is also a first cryptocurrency deposit offer of 160% up to $1,000, for the same minimum deposit of $10. But that is another casino-only bonus.

The Velobet sports betting welcome offer advertising a bonus of 150% up to $1,000.

Reload bonus

There were no sports reloads when we scanned this site.

Are the bonus terms transparent?

The general terms go into various bonus stipulations in an in-depth manner. Still, they do include what some will classify as restrictive caps, high wagering requirements, and subjective anti-fraud clauses. That could make them unfair or unfavorable in many gamblers’ eyes. But most of those terms refer to the casino bonuses, as there are more of those here.

Are there any wagering requirements/rollover rules attached to bonus use?

The sports registration offer carries an x15 rollover that must get completed with bets that have three events with minimum odds of 1.3 with a bet of at least $5. The offer excludes outrights/futures, dog/horse racing bets, and its wagering requirement must get completed within thirty days.

The other bonuses we went through here, sports-connected ones, did not list rollovers, but the general terms point this out – deposit bonuses here have an x10 withdrawal limit, the cashback ones have an x5 one, the same as free money bonuses. Free bets should allow withdrawals up to x10 your wager amount, and leaderboard cash promos too have an x5 bonus value cap. If you win sums above these limits using bonus funds, then whatever goes above them will get forfeited.

Are there any cashback deals?

There was a banner advertising a 20% cashback for those who bet on English football matches here, but when we clicked it, we got led to a different deal. It appears this was an older promo, and based on it, we can deduce that Velobet is no stranger to offering rebate promotions to its users.

Is there any risk-free betting at Velobet?

There is a 3 + 1 Free Bet promotion at Velobet. It supplies an on-the-house wager equal to 15% of the average of three qualifying bets, which must be at least $10 and include 3+ selections with odds of 1.3 or more. The promo excludes single/system bets, outrights, or cashed-out tickets. The winnings from this free bet get capped at $100.

When we went through Velobet, the site too had a 20% Free Bet – British Grand Prix Offer. It gave bettors a gratis wager worth 20% of their stake if they made one of at least $50 on a British Grand Prix. It had to have a selection with odds of 1.50 or higher to qualify, and the max supplied sum here got capped at $200. We are sure that this platform regularly posts similar deals to this one.

Does Velobet offer odds boosts?

There were none when we analyzed this hybrid sportsbook, but we do not doubt they may be offered at some point.

Are there regular promotional offers besides standard bonuses?

There are social media giveaways, like the Discord ones the Velobet team runs. We would guess the same get posted on the official Telegram and X profiles.

A banner marketing Velobet's discord bonuses, and other social media giveaways posted on Telegram and X.

Are any tournaments or competitions run as promos?

For sports gamblers – no. You have Velobet Marathons, which deliver weekly and monthly prizes, but these competitions are only open to those who play slots, live casino products, and so-called Mini Games.

Are there crypto-specific incentives like Staking?

No. There is no native token, and no way to earn passive income at Velobet. Unlike top-end crypto casinos, there is no site vault here as well.

What VIP or loyalty program benefits does Velobet give bettors?

There is a Velobet loyalty system, but the live agent we talked to informed us that it is valid only for slot play. To be honest, that confused us, since one of the perks listed for this scheme is unlimited free bets for a limited period. Strange.

We asked the agent to make it make sense, and he replied with – That refers to the fact that, based upon your recent activity, we may be able to forward a free bet.

How do crypto payment processes work at Velobet?

The payment interface at this sportsbook is quite crude-looking. It lets you deposit cryptos using a unique wallet address and QR code. Use the copy function when putting funds in your Velobet account to avoid mistakes, as incorrect or mixed-coin transactions can result in permanent loss.

For Bitcoin withdrawals, you input your wallet and withdrawal amount in USD. The USD sum gets converted to your chosen crypto at the approval stage. You pick a fiat currency to view amounts here upon registration. We chose USD, but there are several options.

Everything is super straightforward on this front here. You get minimal options/functions, just the bare bones.

What crypto payment methods can bettors use for banking?

You can use Ethereum, Bitcoin, Ripple, Dash, Litecoin, Tether, USD Coin, and Dogecoin.

The site also accepts fiat payments through methods we assume will depend on your accessing regions. We saw Mifinity, Skrill, Visa, MasterCard, and CashtoCode eVoucher in our cashier window.

The fiat payment methods have $10 and $20 minimum deposit limits, but there seems to be no such limits for cryptos, which have no minimum deposit sum listed. We were informed that – Generally, there is no specific minimum amount, and that there are no maximum limits for deposits either.

A sample of the payment methods that Velobet offers to users for depositing.

Is there any crypto wallet integration?

No. That is not yet an option at Velobet. Hopefully, at some point, it will get included.

How fast are payouts at Velobet?

As a rule of thumb, regardless of the chosen withdrawal method, you should get your payout within three business days. That is how long it will take for it to get processed. That is the maximum, but usually, processing here happens within the same day or the day after, per the live chat staff.

Is there proof of successful payout transactions?

The withdrawal should show up in your transaction history tab once it goes through. As mentioned above, you can find this in your Account Menu.

Are there any withdrawal or payout limits?

There is a weekly $7,500 limit and a monthly one of $15,000 at Velobet concerning payouts. The minimum limit for all the cryptos is the equivalent of $20.

Are there any payment processing or transaction fees?

This hub has a 20% fee for all kinds of things, including account termination refunds and dormant accounts. That is significantly higher than industry norms. Furthermore, a dormant account here is one where its owner has not logged in for sixty days. What? Most sites charge a 5% or $10 fee for accounts that have been inactive for a year.

We also saw that this site gives itself the ability to hold withdrawals indefinitely for verification.

Do you need to complete account verification to withdraw?

Yes. This is a must, according to the staff.

What’s the customer service like at Velobet?

You can quickly get connected to a Velobet live chat representative. At least that was our experience of using this Velobet help avenue like six or seven times. On each occasion, we got good help. Response times varied, but with each agent we conversed with, that individual eventually produced the info we requested. We did have a problem with the live chat window disconnecting if we minimized it or left it idle for a while while checking something else.

There is no Velobet Help Center, and the Velobet FAQ is atrocious, with only two questions, which feature some extensive answers. The questions in question are – how you can contact the Velobet staff and how to register here.

Do you get a good betting experience on mobile phones?

For some reason, we had a small problem going by the – verify you are a human Cloudflare verification check. The Velobet mobile website also took a bit to load. When it did, we expected a worse smartphone iteration than we got here. Though some banners were cut off a bit, bleeding out of our screen, and some of the menu text was a bit too small. Still, the Upgaming sportsbook worked more than well on our device. As you can see from the screenshot below, everything was clearly displayed, and you get a bottom screen bar which you can use to quickly navigate to the live events and your bet slip.

A look at the soccer field in the Velobet sportsbook through a mobile view.

Is there a mobile app?

No, there is not.

How does the site perform for placing bets and finding betting markets?

It performs great. You have a Top Leagues list on the left sidebar that is clearly organized with both league names and recognizable icons. That makes it easy to navigate to specific competitions. In the central area, you see events from chosen competitions, with their prime markets and odds featured, and you can get access to more markets via the + button.

Placing bets appears straightforward; clicking odds adds those selections to your betting slip, with the My Bets supplying an overview of active bets.

Website design

The design of the Velobet website is something we are not fans of. It shares similarities with other platforms run/owned by the same operator, and we think that the overall look and logo of this site do not make it seem like a high-end platform. They give off the impression, in our eyes, that this is a lower quality site than it actually is.

It has a dark theme, with greens and yellows as highlight colors, which makes us think it may target Australian gamblers.

The Upgaming betting solution is modern, but it is a bit blocky like the Digitain one, and while functional, it too could get fixed up a bit to appear a bit more visually appealing. Newbies may feel they are getting bombarded with numbers if they are unfamiliar with online sportsbooks.

Ease of use

As noted above, you get clear categorization here, thanks to the left-side menu, and quick bet slip access. You get live, upcoming, and favorites tabs under the promotions bar on the main sportsbook page, and a search field.

Upgaming follows tried-and-tested sector principles, so veterans will quickly get the hang of how things work here, and probably novices as well, given how easy it is to soak in how everything functions, has gotten organized on this wagering software.

Velobet's user interface, a look at the soccer gambling section on the site's sportsbook page.

Speed and technical performance

The Velobet website is reasonably fast on both desktop machines and handheld devices, and we did not encounter any problems aside from a slight load issue on our Samsung phone. On our Acer laptop, this site worked fine.

Customizable options

You can’t do much aside from changing the interface language at Velobet, and in the sportsbook section, this hub, its software, only allows accepting odds changes, favoriting events, and switching odds formats.

Does Velobet provide responsible gambling-related resources?

There are no such profile tools. The website has a Responsible Gambling page, which you can access through a homepage footer link. It is nothing special. It says this casino/sportsbook provides deposit/time limit and self-exclusion options, but we saw none.

The Velobet employees we talked to assured us we could request a self-exclusion ban in the live chat. We inquired if support agents can impose gambling, loss/deposit limits on our account, and he said that is not possible.

What countries are restricted from betting?

Based on the general terms, this site does not accept customers from Curacao, Bonaire, Aruba, Lithuania, Georgia, Saba, the Netherlands, St. Maarten, or the United States. When it comes to the latter nation, this too includes all its dependencies. Furthermore, this platform is obligated to reject anyone from any FATF blacklisted country.

For some reason, in the general conditions, residents of Georgia get singled out as super-banned from this platform. We saw in the two places mentioned that the platform denies access to people from that country.

We should not fail to add that given the sanctions put upon Russia and Belarus stemming from the Russia-Ukraine war, people from these two countries are too forbidden from accessing this site.

Is Velobet available in any local languages?

You can view this website in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Finnish, Norwegian, Italian, and Polish.

How does Velobet compare against its closest competitors?

It has equal quality odds with more famous crypto bookmakers, more live events and pre-match ones than most, and a competitive number of markets. Velobet does not have a selection of live streams that comes close to a site like Stake, but it offers some. The sports bonus offer here is lacking, especially for loyalty users, who get nothing from the site’s loyalty program. That is something that will drag this site far down anyone’s recommended list.

Is Velobet affiliated with or connected to any other crypto sportsbooks?

Yes. Velobet is part of a network of gambling sites that includes Rolletto Casino, MyStake, Goldenbet, Cosmobet, and Locasbet Casino. MyStake is, without a shadow of a doubt, the most famed platform from this batch.

A look at the MyStake's sportsbook, a sister site, which uses the Upgaming solution, the same one as Velobet.

Can you buy crypto on site?

No, you cannot.

Conclusion: Does my experience with Velobet rate it as a solid, high-quality sportsbook?

Upgaming has good sportsbook software. It may not be the most modern-looking, but it is highly functional and has a great number of markets for football matches.

Yes, we have reviewed bookies with deeper market sections than this one, but we think over three hundred and fifty betting choices for a CL game is not a bad number. The number of sports leagues is also good here, and the recently included Bet Builder seems to do the trick for creating single custom bets.

We were surprised to see some football streams here. The first ones we spotted were from Indian, Russian, and South Sudan competitions. We did not expect them, and as time passed, ones from more attention-grabbing leagues/competitions opened up, which was swell.

The odds here are competitive, sourced from providers like SportRadar, and you can use nine cryptocurrencies with no deposit limits at Velobet. The 150% welcome bonus up to $1,000, the 3+1 free bet, and event-specific offers provide some value for bettors, but we are sure experienced gamblers will expect more.

The betting section of this hub is mobile-optimized, and we like the intuitive bet slip. It may not look great, but it works great.

The drawbacks of this brand are that it has mandatory KYC, poor self-help resources, no responsible gambling tools, some high (unjustifiably so, in our opinion) fees, and limited brand recognition. But, most of all, what hurts Velobet is that its VIP program is not open to sports bettors. It is a cashback scheme that is not super attractive, but still. That, along with the absence of 2FA and underwhelming site design, is sure to diminish the appeal of Velobet for many.

As a whole, this is not a horrible fiat and crypto sportsbook. It has good betting features thanks to Upgaming’s software, but its operator could have put in more effort on its end to make this hub more appealing. As is, we would label it an above-average Internet bookie accepting cryptos, but would probably divert you to exploring more proven choices with more sports bonuses and account features.

Are there any signs that Velobet could be a scam?

No. MyStake is a sister site to Velobet, and that is a very established gambling platform, launched in 2020, boasting a high user count. Hence, Velobet is under credible and trustworthy management. It is for sure not a scam.

Pros

Vast offer of markets Competitive odds Bet builder & live streams Good virtual sports offering

Cons

No sports VIP system Mandatory KYC 20% fees for dormant (60-day) accounts No responsible gambling tools
