After the Roland Garros finals, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz play once again. This time, the stake is the Wimbledon title.
Jannik Sinner News
Sinner put on a dominant display against Novak Djokovic, cruising to a straight-sets win—6-3, 6-3, 6-3. The Italian was ruthless against Novak, earning his sixth straight win over the Serb, who decays and can’t compete against the top players right now.
Aside from a bit of luck in the quarterfinals against Dimitrov, Sinner has been flawless at Wimbledon this year, not dropping a single set. He made his way past Nardi, Vukic, Martinez, Shelton, and finally Novak in impressive fashion.
Carlos Alcaraz News
Carlos Alcaraz, on the other hand, had a tougher road to the final. He defeated Taylor Fritz in the semis, 3-1, having some luck in the fourth set, but staying on the winning side in the end. Earlier rounds weren’t easy either—Fognini pushed him to five sets in the opener, and he had to work through Tarvet, Struff, Rublev, Norrie, and then Fritz. Only two of those wins came in straight sets.
Alcaraz’s first serve has been a weapon, averaging 204 km/h and winning 88% of points behind it. That said, Fritz isn’t exactly known for his return game, so those numbers might be a bit inflated.
Sinner vs. Alcaraz Head to Head
Alcaraz currently leads the head-to-head 8-4, including a dramatic win in their most recent clash in the French Open final. Sinner was actually serving for the match, but Carlos pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in Grand Slam finals to turn it around.
Sinner vs. Alcaraz Betting Predictions
Carlos Alcaraz just seems to have that extra gear. He’s got a bit more variety in his game and, perhaps more importantly, a clear mental edge when it matters most. For that reason, we’re backing the Spaniard to come out on top once again.
